October 2, 2020 Day 29: AM…

Iron Mountain Natural Hot Springs

We couldn’t leave (by 11am) from this great little place without hitting up the hot springs!

Wow!
Now that we are all “mineralized”… time to hit the road! (although I could have stayed all day!)

What a great town! Thank you Glenwood Springs! We will return one day!

The drive to the Rockies along the Colorado River through the mountains, canyons, and tunnels has been gorgeous along 70 East…

October 1, 2020 Day 28: Glenwood Springs, Colorado – Pit Stop

What a hidden gem we found! We are headed to the Rocky Mountains and can’t check in to our site until tomorrow; and found Glenwood Springs was about 3/4 of the way there…a fantastic KOA on the Colorado River with plenty a fun things to do! This RV park would also be a great place for a rally!

September 29 & 30, 2020 Days 26 & 27: Moab National Park

Fern hit the 3000 mile mark in Moab, Utah! It was another pretty, but different drive. The rock formations were absolutely amazing (to me)! 😅 Another historical place! If you love getting down and dirty in ATVs, bikes, jeeps…etc, this is a great place for that!

Dust, Red Dust, Rocks ♾

3000! Way to go Clark! (he’s already sweating) 🌞 🔥

September 28, 2020 Day 25: Jackson, Wyoming; the Snake River…

Today we visited Jackson/Jackson Hole; then spent a little time on the Snake River before getting Fern ready for an early morning departure!

Jackson Drug Store was hit! Definitely a hotspot for homemade shakes, food, and ale!

September 27, 2020 Day 24: Jenny Lake and Morman Row in Grand Teton National Park

Another beautiful day of hiking! We started at the Jenny Lake East Trailhead and hiked for several miles…sunshine to snow!

We stopped at Dornans, a really neat historical place to relax! A must do if you’re in the park!

Our day ended in the peaceful setting of Morman Row …

September 25, 2020 Day 21: Chasing the Sun

One of the great things about traveling in an RV is that you can chase the weather! We were planned to stay in Glacier another few days, but decided to find the sunshine based on the weather forecast and head south to the Teton Valley. We had no plans, nor a place to park Fern…another perk, you can always find a place to park your home; whether it’s a Flying J or a KOA!

Here are a few photos from Glacier and the fantastic West Glacier KOA Resort.

Montana, you will be missed! Another beautiful state to one day return to!

September 24, 2020 Day 20: Danny On…and on Hike!

Whitefish, Montana

We were up for the 8 mile challenge of the Danny On Trail Hike in the Whitefish Big Mountain ski area. The “difficult” trail was worth the beautiful sites, and the rewarding 360 degree views from the top: Glacier National Park, Canadian Rockies, and the Flathead Valley!

We wish that chairlift would have been open 😆
Mountain goats
Encountered a little weather…we got that along with a little freezing hail… ❄️

What a great hike! 2 hours (straight) up and 2 hours down!

We enjoyed a much needed dinner at the famous Buffalo Cafe. Whitefish has a neat downtown- a great ski area with beautiful lodging.

September 23, 2020 Day 19: Heaven on Earth…

Going to the Sun Road

When we get to Heaven, we believe this is what a part of perfection will look like. The photos don’t do justice; there are so many…I’ll post a few, and few captions…

The whole Earth is filled with awe at Your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, You call forth songs of joy.
