Day 7- a busy one!

Crazy Horse

We were able to see history unfold as the carving of a memorial for Crazy Horse was taking place before us! It will eventually depict the Lakota warrior riding a horse and pointing to his tribal land across the Black Hills. The monument is being carved out of Thunderhead Mountain on sacred Lakota land.

Custer State Park: Sylvan Lake Trailhead

Gorgeous lake and a fun hike!

If there’s a rock to climb, she’s on it!
Mica, and rose quartz (among the many) are all throughout!

Fern is grateful she didn’t have to squeeze through this… Jeep time!

Groundhogs are very entertaining!

👍👍The day ended back at our campsite as several Aggie fans approached…fellow MOT customers (& now some new)! We can’t wait to see them at MOT in a few weeks at their service appointments!👍👍

A day on the historic rails to Keystone, SD

40 kids across 8 grade levels…bless that teacher!
If I had a favorite gold mine name…this is it! Holy Terror Mine is named after a wife who pulled her husband out of the saloon here each night (after working the mines all day!) She was known as “The Holy Terror”!
